BRIEF
Georgia mom and criminal justice student, Tiffany Foster Starks, was reported missing from Cowetta County, Georgia, on March 2, 2021. Tiffany did not show up for work or school and could not be reached by family or friends. Her car was found a week after she seemingly vanished, with her purse inside the vehicle. It became very clear to authorities that Tiffany’s disappearance was out of character and suspicious.
Shortly after Tiffany’s disappearance the Cowetta County authorities searching for her whereabouts held a press conference where her fiancé would make a last minute appearance on camera to plead for Tiffany’s safe return. The appearance was chilling and it became difficult not to suspect that perhaps we were looking at the primary suspect in her disappearance.
Authorities would soon piece together by late summer of 2021 enough evidence to charge Reginald Robertson with crimes related to Tiffany, but not her disappearance. The charges gave insight to what Tiffany might have been enduring at the time including aggravated assault and kidnapping prior to her disappearance.
Tiffany’s family continued searching for the following two years as their lives were put on hold, more importantly the lives of her children. It was unclear if Tiffany was alive somewhere and her children, along with Tiffany’s family, did not give up hope that their mother could still return home safely. For two years the publicly known facts included a slew of violent charges against Reginald Robertson and one glaring charge of theft for moving Tiffany’s vehicle after her disappearance from Newnan to College Park in Georgia.
In 2023 all charges against Reginald Robertson were dropped in preparation to bring a brand new case against him with all the combined facts and evidence collected by Cowetta County Sheriff’s Office. By August of 2023 the prosecutor announced renewed charges and Reginald Robertson entered a not guilty plea at his initial appearance after the new case was filed. In the dropped case against Reginald, a motion for filed for “change of venue” in Reginald’s own writing he addresses the court with very few reasons for the change of venue request. Among the few reasons he listed was the media coverage of Tiffany’s disappearance and the fact that the community donated Christmas gifts to Tiffany’s children.
In the new 2023 case against Robertson a new name was introduced to the public as Robertson’s co-defendant, Jeremy Walker Sr, who is accused of assisting Robertson’s with the murder by concealing Tiffany’s death. Walker is also charged with theft in relation to the crime against Tiffany.
The Georgia justice system is widely backlogged and strained for resources. The process moving forward will likely be slow as we await a final decision. The Georgia docket states that Robertson has motioned for a non jury trial at this time. This could change based on a variety of factors moving forward. Our timeline below will reflect all updates, changes, and information about the trial.
Tiffany Foster Starks is still missing and has not been found or recovered. It is still important to search for Tiffany and share any information you may have about her whereabouts.
